Mondo sports flooring is first-run vulcanized rubber, not granulated tires. Mondo sports flooring will last the life of the facility. The benefits include the sports surface being impervious to moisture including perspiration and spills, being naturally antibacterial flooring and anti-microbial, absence of bad "locker room" odour, VOC compliant, contains no harmful substance and is a lower cost alternative over its life than "less expensive" products.
Mondo Sports flooring is naturally fire resistant. Unlike PVC-based multipurpose flooring, rubber flooring does not release toxic or corrosive fumes. When more stringent requirements for fire safety are required, Harmoni, Punti and Terranova can be produced with an additionally fire retardant formulation.
The Mondo sports flooring system shall be designed and constructed to maximize dimensional stability, to resist damage through normal wear and tear from its designated use, and to minimize degradation through exposure to the local environment.
